RVA EATS!

Anyone who knows us, knows we love to eat and try new foods and restaurants.  Jarrett and I have a RVA restaurant bucket list of places we definitely want to visit.  

This Sunday I picked the kids up from my parent's and decided to take an impromptu trip to Whisk. 
 I have a killer sweet tooth so finding new local dessert spots makes me giddy. 

I  had an iced coffee and  Raspberry Chocolate Macaroon, Ava had the strawberry macaroon and Alivia picked the large buttery croissant.   

I thought the macaroon were delicious especially once it softened (in the warm car). 

The simplicity of Whisk was charming and endearing. There's not much room inside and it was packed with young millennials with their MacBook's out and coffee in hand chatting and tapping away at their keyboards.  I loved it! Of course I had the kids so I was in mommy mode and we grabbed our goods to go.  Jarrett was on the verge of a meltdown because the smell of freshly backed goods was "disgusting" (no it wasn't) and he was choking and in true theatrical form was on the verge of a smell attack. (rolling my eyes to the back of my head).  So moms DO NOT do it! If you want to have your coffee and macaroon leave the kids at home.
